Welcome to this new home for articles, updates, and other Museum happenings.
The past two years have been busy ones for the Moab Museum: we’ve renovated our space, designed an entirely reimagined exhibit experience, and then adapted to COVID-19 with a variety of measures to bring you stories, objects, and programs virtually. Though the pandemic has prevented us from throwing a big party to celebrate our reopening, we’ve been using the time of extended closure to make more refinements to the new exhibit experience, update Collections care, and strengthen our school, oral history, and outreach programs.
Installation underway in a fresh new exhibit space! Pegboard walls full of visitor comments Guests explore the new Museum during February 2020 Exhibit Previews.
Our publication, Canyon Legacy, has been on hiatus during this time of transition: we will evaluate resuming its publication this upcoming year. With our doors closed, and Canyon Legacy on pause, we’ve missed being able to connect with our community! This blog is intended to serve as a space for articles, updates, and other communications from the Museum team to our community. We’re hard at work behind the scenes and we’re excited about the progress being made, but we can’t wait to welcome locals and visitors back to the reimagined Museum when it is safe to do so.
