Earlier this year, the Museum received a uranium-related scrapbook, including newspaper clippings, photographs, and type-written documents, all of which call for different types of storage techniques. In 2021, the Moab Museum hired a paper conservator to assess and treat a hand-written commencement speech from 1917. In this video, we turn our attention to the processes of paper conservation (surface cleaning, humidification, repairs, and rehousing) with thanks to USHRAB Utah Archives Month Microgrant.
