Moab and Grand County

The Museum of Moab is excited to announce the release of it’s book Images of America Moab and Grand County published by Arcadia Publishing. The book explores the history of Moab from the 1800s to the early Uranium Boom. Images drawn from the Museum collection are put in a historical context telling the story of how Moab grew from an abandoned fort to a bustling boom town.

Author and prior Museum Curator Travis Schenck  worked hard to comb the Museum of Moab’s collection of over 2000 images to create a work that tells the story of our community. “It was hard to pick from so many photos and there are so many stories that I was unable to include,” Remarked Schenck,”but these are some of the most interesting photos and stories about Moab.”
