Developed by longtime Moab teacher Andrea Stoughton in collaboration with local teachers and aligned with Utah Core Curriculum standards, half-day or full-day field trip experiences with the Moab Museum bring natural and human history to life. Moab Museum & Moab Giants
Kindergarten field trips to Moab Giants bring the dinosaurs of Utah to life! We invite teachers to use these pre-trip materials to supplement students' field trip experience.

First Grade

Mill Canyon Field Trip
First Graders visit Mill Canyon with the Moab Museum to learn about the Mesozoic residents of the region. This video, featuring paleontologist and former Moab Museum Director John Foster provides a great overview of the site!

Tour of Historic Moab Sites
Fourth Grade students join the Moab Museum for a tour around town to various historic sites from the late 1800s, when pioneer families were settling Moab.

Dewey: The History of a Vital Transportation Link
Fourth Grade students join the Moab Museum at Dewey Bridge to learn about the former settlement there in the late 1800s, and the challenges and triumphs of transportation across southeastern Utah prior to cars.
