Exhibit Showcases Vast Oral History Collection

Over the past few years, the Museum has made great strides in digitizing the rich and varied Oral History Collection. Thanks to support from Utah Humanities, this treasure trove of firsthand stories is now more organized, accessible, and digitized than ever before – and this Spring, an exhibit highlights some of the amazing stories in the Museum’s South Gallery.

A Grand Heritage: Stories from the Oral History Collection brings firsthand accounts of Moab’s past to life through the end of April. The oral history excerpts on display have been carefully curated by a team of local history experts & enthusiasts, and bring color and texture to Moab’s past.

In association with the temporary exhibit, several programs offer ways for the community to get involved. Oral history collection workshops, field trips for local students, a tour with the Grand Center, and weekly columns in local papers held this spring offer opportunities for locals to dive into the Oral History Collection.
