Post Card Printing Workshop: Block Prints by Everett Ruess
Block Prints by Everett Ruess, a traveling exhibition from the Utah Department of Arts and Museums, opened November 11th, 2022. Everett Ruess, a young writer and accomplished artist, disappeared into the wilderness near Escalante, Utah in 1934 at age 20. His prints and writings have inspired generations of desert dwellers since. Each Tuesday, join Museum staff to try your hand in Ruess’s craft, and use historic printing materials from the Times-Independent newspaper! We’re hosting five Postcard Printing Workshops in November and December, inspired by the artist and writer. Swing by the Museum from 5-7pm on November 22nd to print your own notecard or bookmark!
