My Canyonlands: Film Screening and Discussion

Live screening of the film My Canyonlands: The Adventurous Life of Kent Frost and discussion with Jeff Frost.

Kent Frost was a backcountry guide extraordinaire whose passion for the red rock canyons of southeast Utah helped create and popularize Canyonlands National Park. A lifelong resident of the southwest with a passion for the landscape he called home, Frost took countless visitors on life-changing expeditions into Canyonlands in the very early days of river-running and commercial Jeep guiding. The 2009 film My Canyonlands: The Adventurous Life of Kent Frost is an enthralling and beautiful portrait of this iconic Moab-area local, made by local filmmaker Chris Simon. Join Kent Frost’s nephew, Jeff Frost, and the Moab Museum for a Zoom screening of this film and conversation about Kent Frost’s remarkable life and legacy.
