Exhibit Opening! Memories of the Quarantine / Memorias de la Cuarentena

A bilingual temporary story exhibition presented in partnership with Moab Valley Multicultural Center

As the coronavirus pandemic brought the world to a halt in the early months of 2020, Moab resident Mónica Piñera sought to capture the stories arising around her both here in Utah and in her native Mexico. The Moab Museum is thrilled to present a temporary exhibit entitled Memories of the Quarantine / Memorias de la Cuarentena, which features a collection of stories presented in both English and Spanish that Piñera has collected from both sides of the US-Mexico border. Join Mónica Piñera, Moab Valley Multicultural Center’s Executive Director Rhiana Medina, and Moab Museum Executive Director Forrest Rodgers for a Zoom & Facebook Live conversation about the pandemic, the stories it has generated, and the temporary exhibit. The temporary exhibition will be on view on an appointment-only basis during the month of March.

The live event will be held on Zoom and simulcast on Facebook Live to the Museum’s Facebook page. No registration is required. Click here to join.
